Dysprosium oxide (Dy2O3)
Our dysprosium oxide is used for the production of glass, phosphors, lasers, capacitors and halogen lamps.
Dysprosium oxide improves the emission spectrum of high-performance halogen lamps and is used for the production of dysprosium compounds (solutions and salts, such as dysprosium chloride, nitrate, fluoride or acetate) and the production of dysprosium metal.
It is also used, mixed with other rare earth elements, for lasers and illuminants (e.g. as a light source for IR-spectroscopy).
In addition, it is used in cermets for control rods of nuclear reactors.
