Metal recovery
We focus on the recovery of metals from spent refinery catalysts.
At our site in Althofen (Austria), we process spent catalysts from petroleum refining processes. We are market leaders in this service, impressing with the highest environmental and quality standards. Our recycling activities are aimed at closing material cycles and thus contribute to the Green Deal, sustainability and the circular economy. Some of the recovered raw materials are on the European Union’s (EU) list of supply-critical raw materials. As a result, it is possible to cut the mining of more than 500,000 tons of ore annually. The ore mining not needed in addition to the savings in processing and transport save CO2 and protect the environment in the long term.
Recycling residues containing valuable materials is very important for our future projects and is a key pillar of our growth strategy.
The secondary raw materials obtained in this way are then processed in-house into high-quality products for the global steel and foundry industry.
