Terbium oxide (Tb4O7)
Terbium oxide is a dark brown, non-flammable solid used as a dopant in the production of phosphors.
Terbium oxide is mainly used as a dopant for the production of phosphors for fluorescent lamps and colour television tubes. In combination with zirconium(IV) oxide, it also serves as a stabilizer for fuel cells. It is also used in solar applications.
