Niobium oxide is used as a raw material for the production of niobium carbide and for the production of pigments.
Niobium pentoxide, also known as niobium oxide, belongs to the group of metal oxides and is a white, odourless powder. It is used in the production of optical glass and filters for cameras, copiers and spectacles, but also for the production of niobium metal and metal alloys. The powder is also used in niobium electrolytic capacitors.
