Neodymium oxide (Nd2O3)
Neodymium oxide (Nd2O3)
Neodymium oxide (Nd2O3) is a grey to blue powder and is important for the production of glass and catalysts.
Nd2O3 is used in the production of neodymium-iron-boron (Nd-FeB) magnets, as an additive in the production of table and decorative glass, for high-temperature-resistant glass ceramics (e.g. ceramic hobs), in the production of glass frits, for high-power lasers, for ceramic capacitors and as a catalyst in rubber production.
Neodymium salts are used to colour enamels and occur in mixtures for ceramic pigments. Neodymium(III) oxide is used in glass colouring and for decolourizing ferrous glass, as an additive for UV-absorbing glass (solar control glass) and as a component of the neodymium YAG laser widely used industrially.
Our Nd2O3 is available in different purities, from 99% – 99.999%.
