Neodymium metal
Neodymium metal
Neodymium is a silvery-white, soft, malleable rare earth metal. It is the most important raw material for rare earth magnets and is also used as a dopant in magnesium alloys.
Neodymium forms an oxide layer on the surface in contact with air. Neodymium is the most important alloying component in the production of Nd-Fe-B alloys for high-performance magnets. In magnesium alloys, neodymium improves the mechanical properties.
Treibacher neodymium metal is available in various forms and specifications.
