Hydrogen storage alloy

Titanium-manganese-based alloys (TiMn) are used for hydrogen storage.

TiMn-based hydrogen storage alloys (Treibacher AB2) in lumpy form are suitable for applications requiring high specific absorption capacity, high throughput and high corrosion resistance and are used for hydrogen storage systems in combination with fuel cells. The typical absorption capacity is 1.8 wt.%. The material allows hydrogen to be absorbed and released again at room temperature and low pressure.
