Copper oxide (CUO)

Copper oxide is a black crystalline powder, insoluble in water. It is used as a pigment in ceramics.

Copper oxide (CuO) is mainly used in the production of pigments, frits and enamels, as an additive in brake pads and clutch discs in the automotive industry, but also as a raw material for catalysts. It is also used in pyrotechnics.
