Cer(IV)-ammonium nitrate is a strongly oxidizing reagent, exists as an orange-red crystalline powder and is mainly used in chromium etching.
Cer(IV)-ammonium nitrate is used in chromium etching, in the electronics industry, in the production of pigments, glazes, enamels, in the production of fine chemicals, as an oxidizing agent in organic synthesis (oxidation of alcohols, phenols or esters) and in quantitative analysis (oxidimetry).
This substance is produced in two different grades (standard and high purity).
- Chemical synthesis
- Chromium etching
