The lower density of titanium-, niobium-, molybdenum- and vanadium-based hard materials means that every kilogram of powder yields significantly more coated volume than with tungsten-based systems. AUERWEAR materials combine high hardness and abrasion resistance with excellent bonding to steel matrices, high crack resistance and stable processability in common processes.
Tungsten-free also means future-proof: AUERWEAR addresses the requirements of the EU Critical Raw Materials Act and reduces dependence on critical raw materials as well as on binder phases classified as CMR. This allows users to secure their coating processes from a regulatory perspective without compromising on wear performance.
